FAQs

You can find more tips and advice in our Lighting Academy.

Is the Indeluz Valgus Square suitable for use in the bathroom?

Yes, light is suitable for use in the bathroom thanks to its IP54 rating, which offers protection against splashing water. This ensures sufficient durability in a humid environment.

What is the lifespan of the Indeluz Valgus Square LED light?

The luminaire has a lifespan of 40,000 hours while maintaining 80% of its initial luminous flux (L80B20). This ensures long-term reliability in interior lighting.

What kind of lighting is suitable for a bathroom?

In the bathroom, it is important to combine sufficient light output, the correct IP rating, and high-quality mirror lighting. The choice lighting also depends on the bathroom’s protection zones.

You can find more detailed recommendations in our article Bathroom Lighting: A Blend of Functionality and Design

What IP rating is appropriate for a given space?

The appropriate IP rating depends on the environment in which light will be used. While IP20 is usually sufficient for standard living spaces, bathrooms, patios, and exterior areas require a higher level of protection against moisture and dust.

If you’d like to learn more about the different IP ratings, read our article IP Ratings Explained: How to Choose Lighting for the Bathroom and exterior Use.

What color temperature should you choose?

Warm white (2700–3000 K) creates a cozy atmosphere and is suitable for living rooms or bedrooms. Neutral white (4000 K) is suitable for kitchens, bathrooms, or home offices. If light is available in multiple variants, we recommend choosing based on the room’s intended use.

You can find a more detailed explanation of the different light temperatures in our article What Is CCT and How to Choose the Right Color Temperature
