The Focus LED pendant light from the French company DCW éditions is a design chandelier consisting of 3, 4 or 5 light discs made of PMMA (acrylic glass) that look light and ethereal in the space, as if they were floating weightlessly. The individual discs resemble soap bubbles or planets, creating a soft, dreamlike atmosphere inspired by space and astronomy. Focus is not only a source of light, but also a striking visual element that naturally becomes a dominant feature of the interior. It fits perfectly above the dining table, in the living area and in representative commercial interiors, where its lightness, rhythm and original character stand out.

The Focus luminaire works with the idea of planets and soap bubbles moving freely in weightless space. The PMMA light discs appear subtle and fragile, yet create a distinctive composition that brings calm, rhythm and a sense of lightness to the interior. The light spills gently into the surroundings, creating an atmosphere that is more of an emotional experience than technical lighting.

Variable light composition

The Focus is available with three, four or five light discs, allowing light to be adapted to different spaces and interior scales. The composition works harmoniously above the dining table, in open-plan living areas and in representative projects where the emphasis is on original design and the visual identity of the space.

Designed by Yuji Okitsu

Yuji Okitsu (*1983, Tokyo) is a Japanese architect and designer who grew up in Senri New Town in Osaka and graduated from Tokyo Denki University with a Master of Architecture in 2009. Since 2011, he has been working as an independent architect and his work is characterized by a boundless, interdisciplinary approach that does not stop at the form itself, but naturally extends into space and various areas of everyday life. In his work, he focuses on subtle events and emotions hidden in everyday situations that he believes can touch the human heart, and he sensitively transforms these subtle moments into thoughtful, poetic designs. "I focus on events that touch the hidden heartstrings of the human heart in everyday life."
