Made in Italy

E27 IP40

Designed by Jasper Morrison in 1998, the Glo-Ball ceiling light from the Italian brand Flos embodies the philosophy of "supernormal" design - simple, functional and timeless. The luminaire provides diffused light through hand-blown, acid-etched opal glass that emits a soft, warm glow reminiscent of a full moon. The design includes a threaded ring of die-cast aluminum with an allodine finish, a handle of gray painted die-cast aluminum, and a ceiling base of fiberglass-reinforced polyamide. This combination of quality materials and precision craftsmanship makes Glo-Ball not only a light source, but also an elegant design element for any modern interior.

Full Moon Inspiration

The Glo-Ball ceiling light is designed to evoke natural moonlight - soft, calm and evenly diffused. Jasper Morrison's design was inspired by the full moon and the result is a harmonious shape and lighting effect that creates a pleasant atmosphere without harsh shadows. This inspiration has made Glo-Ball a popular choice for residential and commercial spaces where calm, even lighting is desired.

Technological simplicity in detail

Although the Glo-Ball may appear to be a simple shape at first glance, its construction is the result of a carefully considered combination of materials. Hand-blown glass with an acid-etched surface ensures ideal light diffusion, while the die-cast aluminium element and reinforced polyamide guarantee stability and durability. The minimalist design thus hides a sophisticated technical solution that underlines the high standards of the Flos brand.
