The Bibliotheque Nationale Floor light by the Italian brand Flos, designed by Philippe Starck in 2013, is not only a source of light but also a practical piece of furniture. It combines the function of a bookcase thanks to the shiny stainless steel brackets that protrude from the central bar and allow you to store books or other objects. The body of the lighting consists of a chrome-plated zinc base, stand and diffuser bracket, while the inner diffuser is made of opal injection-moulded polycarbonate. The outer shades are available in several variants: PVC fabric, clear or smoky grey methacrylate, or with a silver or bronze inner layer thanks to vacuum aluminium plating. The top ring is made of clear injection moulded polycarbonate. In addition, a USB port (max. 2A) is integrated in the base, which allows charging of common smartphones and tablets.
