In 1939, he founded the Arteluce brand, which soon became synonymous with innovative and elegant lighting. Sarfatti designed more than 600 different lighting models, many of which are still considered design icons today. His work redefined what light could mean in a functional and visual sense, and his timeless designs - such as the famous 2097 chandelier - remain a popular choice for lovers of cutting-edge design decades later.
