The Dew Dropsluminaire by the Czech brand Bomma, designed by Boris Klimek, is an LED light (2700K) inspired by the shimmering dew drops on grass. The crystal drops with a pearlescent tinge are hand-mounted on innovative textile strips, available in luxurious black leather or a vegan alternative that can also be colour-matched to the interior. Each crystal element of the Dew Drops by Bomma is a masterpiece of traditional glassmaking. Skilled glassmakers hand-blow premium clear glass into delicate drop-like shapes, which they then polish to a perfect finish with a subtle pearlescent tint. It is the handmade process that guarantees each piece its uniqueness - the subtle irregularities and organic curves faithfully mimic the natural beauty of the morning dew. Once cooled, each drop undergoes a precise grinding process to fit perfectly into the design ensemble. When the fixture is lit, the warm LED light animates the glass from within, creating a mesmerizing play of light with soft reflections that are reminiscent of the sun's rays shining through a drop of water. This fusion of centuries-old glassmaking traditions with modern design makes Dew Drops an exceptional piece of interior jewellery, where every detail tells a story of impeccable craftsmanship.

Designed by Boris Klimek

Boris Klimek - a Prague-based designer and graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Product and Conceptual Design Studio) with international experience from internships in England, Slovakia and the Olgoj Chorchoj studio, creates design that goes beyond mere functionality towards poetic stories and emotions. His work, which has been awarded in numerous competitions, combines technical precision with playful imagination - as in the Dew Drops lighting for Bomma, where he has translated the inspiration of nature (dew drops) into a contemporary craft object. Klimek consciously works with imaginative shapes, light and materials to ensure that his works are not only useful, but also stimulate the imagination and create memorable atmospheres. In each project he seeks that magical balance between perfection of execution and the ability to evoke a personal, almost intimate experience.
